Blankenbiller Electrical Services, a preferred PECS contractor, is currently working on a new headquarters for Customers Bancorp and Customers Bank in West Reading.
The project, which is the renovation of an existing building, is expected to be completed on-time and on-budget by the end of April.
Customers Bancorp wanted to stay true to their Berks County roots, while giving their more than 175 executive and administrative employees a more practical workspace. The new location allows for greater communication and collaboration, as well as a more ideal location for clients who are visiting the company.
Blankenbiller Electrical Services was selected to complete the 30,000 square-foot renovation based on their expertise in office and commercial construction.
The skilled electrical workers of Blankenbiller Electrical Services are hard at work, having already installed 4,000-feet of wire, with another 4,000-feet to go. They have also installed approximately 1,000-feet of conduit and will install more as well.
Blankenbiller will also be installing an 800-amp electrical service, as well as a 250-kilowatt generator.
As for lighting, Blankenbiller will be installing smart low voltage lighting controls in order to make the lighting system energy efficient and to allow for more options when selecting lighting settings.
