Pennsylvania Electrical Contractor Solutions preferred contractor Hirneisen Electric is close to completing work at another local school district.
The Boyertown Area School District tapped Hirneisen Electric to modernize two of their athletic facilities - the high school softball and football complexes.
The construction projects will result in a new building containing two sets of restrooms at the football stadium, in addition to a concession stand with a full kitchen. Work on the softball complex includes adding dugouts and a concession stand.
When the work is complete, more fans will be able to quickly use the restrooms in the coming seasons. The women's restroom is complete with 34 stalls, while the men’s restroom contains 10 stalls and urinals.
The district also hopes the new football concession stand will be able help alleviate long lines by allowing volunteers to serve more fans in a timely manner.
In order to construct the new kitchen and restroom building, the underground wiring for football stadium’s lights had to be rerouted. In total, Hirneisen installed 2,500 feet of underground conduit and rerouted the feeds for the football stadium lights.
For softball fans, they will be able to support their team by purchasing items from the concession stand.
As has been the case with many Pennsylvania construction projects, the COVID-19 pandemic caused some problems on this project and set the work back for some time.
However, having two highly trained and highly skilled electricians on the jobsite helped Hirneisen stay ahead of their portion of the schedule and be the leaders on this project.
At this point, the two Hirneisen electricians are nearly finished with their work on the electrical portion of the project, while the other trades continue their work as well.
