Despite the “Stay at Home” order issued by Gov. Tom Wolf, Pennsylvania Electrical Contractor Solutions (PECS) preferred contractor, Hirneisen Electric is busy completing work on the Integrated Surgical Institute in Leesport.

The project was classified as essential, meaning construction was to continue despite the order.

Work on the building is about 75 percent complete and is on schedule to be finished with the new facility in June.

The Integrated Surgical Institute is an ambulatory surgery center, where surgeries will be performed on patients who will not need to stay in a hospital overnight to recover. These are typically less difficult or less invasive surgeries.

The Integrated Surgical Institute, located in the West Ridge Business Campus, will have two surgery rooms with the capability of four.

Hirneisen Electric was selected to complete the work on the Leesport facility based on their expertise in medical construction.

The project has steadily employed three electricians, and the number will grow to 10 as needed. In midst of the project not yet complete, Hirneisen’s highly skilled and highly trained electrical workers have already installed over 10,000-feet of MC cable, 5,000-feet of conduit and 42,000-feet of building wire, with more to come.

As the project has progressed, their employees have worked safely, as they continue to meet deadlines in order to get the work done on time.
