Pennsylvania Electrical Contractor Solutions preferred contractor Hirneisen Electric is continuing a renovation and addition project at Lincoln Middle School in Lancaster.
After being shut down for some time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, electricians are back on the jobsite, working to complete what they had started.
Currently, there are two electricians on-site during the demolition phase.
Presently, the Hirneisen electricians are working on the renovation portion of the project. This renovation includes new wiring for administrative offices and the nurses office, auditorium renovations and the entrance way renovation.
Once the renovation work is complete, crews will begin to build an addition onto the school in order to improve the student’s learning environment.
The addition will include a large group instruction room to promote collaboration among students, new offices and classrooms, new locker rooms and a new kitchen.
Due to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf’s COVID-19 shut down, the completion dates have been pushed and the Hirneisen electricians will diligently work along with the other tradesmen and tradeswomen to finish this portion of the project as soon as possible.
Original plans called for an entirely new school to be built, but this plan was axed after school district leaders concluded renovations and an addition would save taxpayers $3.1 million.
The project is one piece of a School District of Lancaster plan to rebuild or improve four of its existing schools.
Thanks to their expertise in educational construction, Hirneisen was a great pick to complete the work. While on-site, the electricians have worked diligently and safely. Thanks to being highly-trained and highly-skilled, the Hirneisen electricians will make Lincoln Middle School a better learning environment for all students.
