Pagoda Electric, a preferred PECS contractor, has reached the midway point of their work on the Reading Hospital and Acadia Healthcare behavioral health facility.
Currently, 15 local electricians are working full-time at the facility, and the number could increase as turnover dates and deadlines approach.
A 92,000 square foot facility located in Bern Township, the new 144-bed inpatient facility will offer inpatient adolescent, adult and geriatric psychiatric care. The facility is also equipped to accommodate those with outpatient needs, consultation and chemical dependency care.
Pagoda Electric, who has significant experience in medical and commercial construction, is performing all of the electrical work on this structure.

Furthermore, two in five residents cited poor physical or mental health as a reason for activity limitations. Once operational, this facility will help a large portion of this community get the help they need.
Work on the Reading Hospital and Acadia Healthcare behavioral health facility began in 2019 and is expected to be completed sometime in 2020.
