Pagoda Electrical, a PECS preferred contractor, recently installed a new LED lighting system at Santander Arena as the venue celebrates its 20th Anniversary Season. Pagoda Electrical worked for Musco Sprots Lighting – including their equipment and state-of-the-art design.
The upgrade will more than double the lighting at the 7,160-seat multi-purpose arena in Reading, with up to 50,000 Lumens, a marked improvement from its former 18,000 Lumens, according to Berks Community Television (BCTV).
The new LED system is set to operate on a “cooler” temperature on the Kelvin scale to convey a truer white for events. The system features 14 RGBA fixtures that allow the color of the arena to be changed for events and hockey games.
Other features of the new lighting include:
- Improved energy efficiency as the drivers to the lights turn off when bulbs are off.
- Dimmable settings that create variable light setting displays for events and concerts.
- A catwalk mounted system for arena wide lighting focus.
Founded in 1995, Pagoda Electrical maintains long-term client relationships with Lucent Technologies, Inc., Verizon, Maier's Sunbeam Bakery, Penn State University, Cabot Corporation and Glidden. The company is a certified designer/installer of The Siemon Company's enhanced cabling systems.
