The contractors affiliated with Pennsylvania Electrical Contractor Solutions or PECS are committed to providing their employees with industry-leading training to ensure their workforce is the most highly trained and safest in the region, which ensures their work is completed on-time and under budget.

Each year, the electricians and electrical workers employed by PECS independently owned affiliated contractors undergo rigorous safety training, including OSHA and MSHA courses. Thanks to this safety training, their employees are able to provide quality work, with little to no workplace accidents. This means projects will not be shut down due to preventable accidents or injuries, which helps them stay on schedule.

Here are just a few of the safety courses employees of PECS affiliated contractors take:

  • OSHA 30-hour construction outreach
  • OSHA 10-hour construction outreach
  • Electrical Safety related work practices based on NFPA 70E
  • Built-Right Process safety management training
  • MSHA new miner and annual refresher safety training

Safety is ingrained into the livelihood of electricians and electrical workers who are employees of independently owned PECS affiliated contractors. They not only learn how to work safe in a dangerous industry, but have a track record of doing so thanks to classroom safety courses, the latest safety technology and the implementation of both on the jobsite.

The right PPE keeps everyone safe

Electricians and electrical workers employed by a PECS contractor not only receive industry-leading training, but they have access to the latest safety technology to help keep them safe.

Upon stepping foot on a construction site, these employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, also known as PPE, to minimize exposure to hazards that can cause a serious workplace injury and help prevent a workplace death.

PPE can include, but not limited to, the following items:

  • Gloves
  • Safety glasses
  • Shoes
  • Earplugs
  • Hard hats
  • High visibility shirts and vests
  • Harnesses
  • Other job or industry-specific safety equipment

Thanks to their PPE and safety training, the employees of a PECS affiliated contractor help keep the job on schedule by minimizing unwanted downtime due to injury or worse. This not only keeps a project on schedule, but it helps lower the cost for Workers’ Compensation, which is reflected in the project bid. As an end result, a project completed safely by a PECS affiliated contractor will likely finish on time and on or under budget due in part to the stringent observance of safety guidelines.
