The HB Frazer Company, a preferred PECS contractor, recently completed work on the Penn Square Marriott Hotel in Lancaster.
The hotel renovation added a new tower, which includes rooms, a restaurant and a bar. Additional work added new rooms to an existing space and created additional first-floor room for a club lounge. In total, 110 rooms were built to provide additional accommodations for individuals visiting Lancaster.
Along with hotel rooms, the new 12-story hotel tower is home to a rooftop bar, The Exchange. The Exchange offers views of the historical city while patrons enjoy craft cocktails and specialty small plates. The bar features a modern look and has a street entrance.
The original hotel restaurant, the Penn Square Grille, was transformed and rebranded into Plough. The first-floor establishment pays homage to Lancaster’s rich heritage while embracing modernity. It seats 190 patrons and features a circular bar.
HB Frazer also help construct the hotel’s new breakfast restaurant, Two Kings.
Other work performed included renovating to the former concierge lounge, located on the 18th floor in the original tower, into hotel rooms. Additionally, the new M Club Lounge was built on the hotel’s first floor.
In total, the construction project cost about $39.4 million dollars and brought much needed hotel space to Lancaster.

The highly trained journeymen electricians and electrical workers of HB Frazer proved to be an efficient workforce, completing their portion of the project on time, safely and on budget.
Work included, but was not limited to running all wiring, electrical systems distribution and installation of items such as lights, fans and data systems.
