Pennsylvania Electrical Contractor Solutions preferred contractor HB Frazer worked quickly and professionally to install a new generator at the Spring Township Maintenance Building.
After years of using an antiquated generator, Spring Township decided to invest in a new generator and to have the highly skilled and highly trained electricians at HB Frazer complete the installation project.
The first order of business was to remove the existing generator, transfer switch, disconnect and generator controls.
After completing the demolition phase, the electricians installed the 400 single phase generator, new transfer switch and controls. They also installed a new main distribution panel to feed the existing power and lighting in the maintenance building.
In the three to four weeks that it took to complete the project, the electricians installed 160-feet of four-inch EMT conduit for the feeder and 640-feet of one-inch EMT conduit for the generator controls. There is also a new generator transfer switch and generator annunciator.
When the project was complete, roughly 800-feet of conduit was installed and over 3,500-feet of wire was needed to complete the installation.

The final step before the generator can go into operation is having it tested and certified, which will happen in the coming weeks.
